It’s recently come to my attention that a couple people I don’t even really know have called me out on their blogs for…what, I’m not actually sure.
For those of you who don’t know me well, here’s a quick and easy how-to manual about what I mean when I say something:
If I use your name? I’m talking to or about you.
If I link to your blog/post/whatever? I’m talking to or about you.
If I don’t use your name? I’m not talking to or about you.
If I don’t link to your blog/post/whatever? I’m not talking to or about you.
When I make a ginormous post on one subject and briefly mention something else you have opinions on in passing or at the end? I’m not talking to our about you.
At most, if you have a differing subject on an issue, something your blog/post/whatever might have said got my wheels spinning about something vaguely related at best.
TL;DR–IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU. Even if my opinion on something happens to differ with yours. So get over yourself. If I’m calling you out, you’ll know it.
