Coming this week: The JUGGERNAUT and BANE cover reveal!

Juggernaut_Teaser3DBane_Teaser3D

Finally, at long last, you’ll get your first look at the covers for my upcoming titles in the Strain series, Juggernaut and Bane (link for Bane is not yet active but will be soon)!

This coming Thursday, May 14, JoyfullyJay will be hosting the big cover reveal! Be sure not to miss it!

Juggernaut

They helped destroy the world. Now they have to survive the new one.

For rentboy Nico Fernández, it’s a simple job: seduce a presidential advisor to help cement approval to launch Project Juggernaut. He’s done similar work for General Logan McClosky before, and manipulating people for his favorite client beats the hell out of being trafficked for slave wages in some corporate brothel.

Zach Houtman feels called to work with the most vulnerable outcasts of society. But his father, the Reverend Maurice Houtman, insists that Zach work for him instead as he runs for Senate. Zach reluctantly agrees, but is horrified to see his father leave behind Christ’s mandate of love and mercy to preach malicious zealotry and violence instead. Zach even starts to suspect his father is working with fundamentalist terrorists.

When Project Juggernaut accidentally unleashes a deadly plague that claims billions of lives, Nico and Zach are thrown together, each bearing a burden of guilt. With only each other for safety and solace, they must make their way through a new world, one where the handful of people left alive are willing to do anything—and kill anyone—to survive.

Bane

The unstoppable weapon that nearly destroyed humanity may be their only salvation

Rhys Cooper’s unique immunity to all three strains of the virus that nearly annihilated humanity has brought him the unwanted attention of Clean Zone scientists. They’ve summoned him for testing—ostensibly in the hopes of finding a vaccine—but Rhys’s partner, Darius Murrell, has good reason not to trust any government. He and his comrades in Delta Company were unwitting test subjects for Project Juggernaut, the military experiment that gave them superhuman abilities and unleashed the pandemic. Doubting the government’s intentions, Delta Company refuses to let Rhys go alone.

Fear of infection has kept Zach Houtman and his lover Nico Fernández apart for a decade. They meet rarely, just long enough to coordinate their spying on the head of the government’s virus research division. Secretary Littlewood is a vicious predator, and they suspect he’s trying to acquire the strain of the virus that would make him superhuman. To stop him, they need the perfect bait: Rhys.

For Rhys, helping them might cost him his relationship with Darius—or his life. For Zach and Nico, even if their plan succeeds, they still face the ultimate question: can infected and uninfected people ever live together safely?

As you can see, Juggernaut is actually a prequel to Strain, though the two are stand-alone and can be read in any order. Bane is a sequel entwining storylines involving characters from both books. In order of release, the sequence will be Strain, Juggernaut, and Bane. In chronological order within the universe, the reading order will be Juggernaut, Strain, and Bane. Either way works.

The Professor’s Rule 3-5: cover reveal, info, and announcements. @HeidiBelleau @RiptideBooks #mm #erotica #romance

InchByInch_468banner

First off, two announcements regarding Inch By Inch (The Professor’s Rule #3)

1) WE HAVE A COVER! And a blurb! Look at this gorgeous representation of Satish Malhotra! Yes, Satish is back. TPR3 brings us back into the present day after TPR2 gave us a look at James and the Professor’s history, and now we are dealing with the fallout of James and Carson reuniting and James continuing to pursue a possible relationship with Satish.

InchByInch_500x750

After two long, kink-free years apart, James Sheridan has reunited with his Professor: the sexy, dominant Evander Carson. But this time, things will be different. James is older, more sure of himself, and confident that he can draw the line between Carson’s demands and his own principles.

One of those lines is gorgeous menswear salesman Satish Malhotra. After their steamy dressing room encounter, James feels an unexpected connection to Satish, and he wants to explore it further. But Carson’s involvement—in James’s life, and in James and Satish’s budding relationship—complicates things.

Carson’s penchant for using other men in their sex games has always troubled James, and he’s adamant that Satish not be just another notch in their whipping post. But when Satish learns what prompted James to pursue him in the first place, will James’s new ability to draw the line even matter?

2) We have a release date (well, we’ve had one for a while I just couldn’t remember what it was.) The release date is December 16. And it’s available now for pre-sale at Riptide!

Secondly, As of tonight, Heidi Belleau and I finished TPR #5 (we finished #4 a few days ago.) They are (tentatively) titled Every Inch of the Way and To The Very Last Inch, respectively. Unless something drastically changes, that is going to bring us to the end of James, Carson, and Satish’s story. I am really, REALLY pleased with #4 and #5. I can’t wait to get to share them with people. They ended up being a lot more substantial and moving than either Heidi and I had ever intended when we first planned what was meant to be a series of simple erotic shorts. I shouldn’t be surprised. I have a long and notable habit of conceiving a story that is meant to be a straightforward, unapologetic smut biscuit and adding all sorts of layers of emotion and character exploration and complicated themes to it. As my friend Darkrose from Dragon Age fandom once said when I complained about it, “Sooner or later you just have to say, fuck it, it’s my idiom.”

Unless something has changed since we discussed it a couple weeks ago, #4 and #5 will be released at the same time, on February 10, 2014. Which means that I have three books being released in the space of a week, and I will have a total of four books already released by the end of May. Seriously, you do not even want to know what my editing schedule is going to look like for the next month or so. I have copy edits and probably proofing on Strain, developmental and line (and maybe copy?) edits on Saugatuck Summer, and then the ~25K that is TPR4-5. And that doesn’t even include blog tour posts and whatnot.

*curls up into a ball and weeps*

So, yeah, exciting stuff happening here! Stay tuned!

Cover reveal continued!

So, There’s one aspect of the GORGEOUS artwork Kerry did for Velocity that you can’t see very well on the ebook cover. The convention for the series until this point has been to feature a character portrait of the POV character and then a “couple” shot. Well, Velocity is told from both Derrick AND Gavin’s POV so the portrait feature became a bit trickier, as there’s only so much room on a book cover before thins begin to look crowded.

So, as you can see in the background here:

Velocity-ecover-1800x2700

there IS a portrait of the two of them, but in order to see it fully, you need to see the back cover of the print edition. For those of you who won’t have the print edition, however, I’m including it here.

If you want to see the portrait of Derrick and Gavin without the text over it, you can check it out on Kerry’s DeviantArt page, here.

Have I mentioned how much I love my cover design team? Because, I mean, really!

It’s here! VELOCITY cover reveal!

My lovely cover artist, Kerry Chin, and layout designer, Michael Hart from Booknibbles have been hard at work to get the Velocity cover ready by the end of the month. But here it is and I’m absolutely IN LOVE with it!

REACHING OPTIMUM SPEED

For Detroit handyman Derrick Chance and his lover, Gavin Hayes, the holiday season is filled with the promise of new beginnings. Gavin’s officially moving in, and after the New Year, they’ll begin house hunting. But they both know all the talk of gift exchange, whose holiday ornaments go where, and what repairs and remodels will be needed to put Derrick’s house on the market is only a smoke screen.

Before the month is over, Gavin will have the final verdict on whether or not his dangerously delusional ex, Lukas, infected him with HIV. No matter how good Gavin’s chances appear with the three-month hurdle already passed, neither he nor Derrick knows what the future holds for them.

The holidays have always been a time of loss and mourning for Derrick, but now he has to stay strong as Gavin’s own fears and doubts assail him relentlessly. And when Lukas returns, unexpectedly penitent amid troubling revelations, Gavin has to ask himself whether he can offer Derrick the future he deserves, or whether these first few months of happiness are the best they will ever get.
